Mr. Pich Ang

Lawyer and Law Office Director

Mr. Pich Ang is a lawyer specialized in Intellectual Property, Consummer Protection, Competition, Commercial Contracts, Criminal Law. He is not only can assist client in providing advices in these fields but also he is familiar with litigation at court, Commercial arbitration, mediation and negociation as well as dispute in front of administrative authorities. 

Mr. Pich Ang is a member of Jurist Council, Office of the Council of Ministers since April 2004, and was a member of the Secretariat of the National Committee on Intellectual Property from 2009 to 2013. As member of Council of Jurists and participated in providing recommendations of Civil Code, Civil Procedure Code, Criminal Code, Criminal Procedure Code, Trade Remedies Law, Consumer Protection Law, Competition Law, E-Commerce Law, Commercial Contracts Law, Construction Law, Geographical Indication Law, Plant Varieties and various regulations implement these Laws.

He was a Chairman of Task Force on Establishment of Intellectual Property Association of Cambodia (IPAC), and later became IPAC President in 2016 until 2019.

He is also National Lead Co-Lawyers for Civil Party at the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia since 2010 and a Civil Party Lawyer since 2009.

He have been providing lectures on Intellectual Property, Consumer protection Law, Competition Law, Contract Law, Criminal Law and Human Rights at Royal Academy of Judges and Prosecutors Law, Royal University of Law and Economics, Build Bright University and during different events Organized by Intellectual property Association of Cambodia and different Ministries dealing with Intellectual Property.

He holds a Master of Private Law in 2000 and Human Rights Law in 2001 from Lyon, France. He was trained to be Trademark Attorney at the Ministry of Commerce in 2014 and obtained a diploma of Marks and Industrial Design from the International Centre for Intellectual property Studies, Strasbourg France in 2015.

Besides, he has working experiences the above fields as a practicing lawyer since 2007.

Mr. Pich Ang speaks Khmer, French and English.

Ms. Song Sopheak

Commercial Arbitrator, Trademark Attorney, Partner

Mrs. Song Sopheak is a Commercial Arbitrator since 2019 and Trademark Attorney Since 2016. She has been Office Manager of ANG IP & Law Office since 2012. Before this, she worked as project coordinator at CWARS Organization from 2004 to 2007, an administrative assistant at Australian Center for Education from 2004-2007 and as an employee of Sovereign Base Logistics Holdings Co., Ltd. from 2002-2004.

Mrs. Song Sopheak obtained Diplomas on Commercial Arbitration in 2018 and Trademark Attorney in 2017. She got a bachelor degree of Business Administration in 2003. 

She speaks both Khmer and English fluently.

Mr. Pich Sothea

Lawyer

He got his bachelor degree in law in 1997 at Royal University of Law and got trained on Human Right Law in 2002-2003 at Human Right Institut, Lyon, France. He was admitted as member of Cambodia Bar Association in 2019.

He is familiar with Investment Law, Land Law, Civil Law and Criminal Law.

Ms. KON Sereysophorn

Lawyer

Ms. Sophorn is a new member, and she is the youngest member in PPL.

Prior to joining PPL, she was a self-motivate, hardworking, adaptable and responsible student and worker in her law field.

She holds bachelor’s degree in law major from Royal University of Law and Economics (RULE) and from Research and Education Center for Japanese Law (CJL), since she received scholarship from Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport to study law at RULE and from Nagoya University to study at CJL. During her study, she also participated summer seminar at the school of Law & Graduate School of Law, Nagoya in Japan and received scholarship for that program from Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO). Despite her busy schedule, Sophorn still spared her time studying English and seeking for opportunity to challenge herself. She tried to apply any useful programs such as exchange programs, scholarship programs, contests and volunteer. Her hardworking gave her an opportunity travelling to Japan once again for free as a reward.

More than these, she used to work as a short-term and/or part-time job during and after her graduation too. She has had working experience at Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC), VINAYA Law Firm, and JICA Legal and Judicial Development Project as a Legal Intern, Legal Assistant and/or Paralegal.

Even though her working experiences are not much as the other members in PPL, she is looking forward to seeking more challenging and more opportunities to learn more.

Ms. Sophorn speaks Khmer, English and Japanese.

Mr. Im Songly

Lawyer

Mr. Songly holds a Master Degree of Private Law from Royal University of Law and Economic in 2017. He was trained as Trademark Agent in 2017 and Business Register Agent in 2019 from Ministry of Commerce.

He has 9 years’ experience in Languages Translation Organization and 5 years’ experience in Rural Credit Operator as Managing Director.

Recently, He is a Training Lawyer in PPL law office.

Mr. Sngoun Sothearith

Legal Consultant, Partner

He holds a Master of Private Law in 2012 and Bachelor of Law in 2008 from Royal University of Law and Economic. He spent more than eight years working in legal field with various institutions where he practiced in the areas of Commercial Registration, Civil and litigation, Real Estate, Compliance with NBC Laws and regulations and several substantial contracts, policies establishment for Micro-finance Institution.

Ms. Leakhena SONG

IT & Administrative coordinator

Ms. Leakhena has graduated bachelor degree in Computer Science and Engineering in 2007 and had been working at National Bank of Cambodia for 9 years before started working at our law office by 2019.

Her main duties are maintaining computer network and other devices in order to support daily tasks. She also works from remote in case any urgents needed. Moreover, she manages all administrative works well.

She can speak Khmer, English fluently and fair level French.
